Race2CureAHC - "A virtual run for a real cure"
Join us for our second annual Virtual 5K to support ongoing research projects for Cure AHC including gene therapy, gene editing and the Duke multidisciplinary AHC clinic . Friends and family from around the world will join together walking, jogging, or running a 5k ( 3.1 miles) to support our AHC champions. Last year we had over 18 states and over 6 countries around the globe represtented in support of our AHC champions, we raised just over $10,000. We are asking for your help to surpass all these numbers in 2021 to keep all of our current research moving forward and continue to support our families. Wear your red and blue colors on race day to represent Cure AHC or purchase your official race gear below.
Cure AHC is a non-profit volunteer run organization that envisions a world where Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood no longer robs its sufferers of the chance to participate fully in life, and where no case goes undiagnosed for lack of awareness. Every donation goes directly to AHC specific research or support of AHC families.
AHC is a rare neurological disorder affecting an estimated 1 in a million births, by raising awareness and fundraising to support research, we hope to soon find a cure.
